That exhibition, Our Community at Winchester: An Elm City Story , drew a crowd of of nearly 100 mainly former employees and their families to the art gallery at its opening at Gateway Community College. It recounts Winchester’s history, including the formation of the International Association of Machinists Local 609 union, alabama the strikes, the art and the music in the workplace, and the impact the factory has had on Newhallville and New Haven.
In Winchester exhibit, the chisels, vices, hammers, and other tools that workers used to fashion the stocks and other wooden parts of firearms give their quiet testimony in a vitrine in the middle alabama of a room otherwise filled up with movable panels carrying reproductions of photographs of life in the plant.
These are augmented by documents, alabama newsletters, newspaper accounts, memorabilia, and oral histories assembled from International Association of Machinists Local 609 records and interviews conducted by Greater New Haven Labor History Association . Wednesday’s reception drew many workers from that time and a handful of hearty survivors from generations, such as 90-year-old Young, a trained craftsman from Arkansas who worked at Winchester from 1942 to 1985. I have a lot of feelings about Supernatural. That happens when you've watched over nine seasons of a television show. There are more than a few running references through the years, and my favorite is Dean Winchester's love of/obsession with pie. You know what? I love pie, too. What a coincidence! Dean brings colo colo up the dessert often, and he references the "apple pie life" throughout the series. Apple pie life translates to a normal life. You know, one without ghosts and demons and angels. Perhaps the association of pie with normalcy is why Dean loves it so, or because it makes him think of his mom, or maybe he just likes pie because it's delicious. Southern Voices with conductor Katherine Dienes-Williams. Photo by Theo Williams A CHARITY dedicated to easing the plight of asylum seekers has joined one of Winchester s leading choirs for a fundraising concert with a regal theme.
Southern Voices tim duncan will be exploring four centuries of music composed for royal occasions at St Michael s Church in Winchester on Saturday March 15 in aid of Southampton and Winchester Visitors Group (SWVG).  All proceeds will support the charity s work with asylum seekers and refugees.
Conducted tim duncan by Katherine Dienes-Williams and accompanied by Paul Provost, sub-organist of Guildford Cathedral, the performance will include Handel s rousing anthem Zadok the Priest, William Walton s Te Deum, written for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, and music by John Rutter and Paul Mealor commissioned for the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011.

I wonder how well the HEX shot pellets retain velocity as opposed to their more conventional spherical counterparts, high velocity at the muzzle does not necessarily translate into a shorter time to target.
I can’t prove it but instinctively 22 I’d say that the drag on the flat areas will make these shot fly corner 22 forward.. Anyway, yep, probably they will slow down a faster… 22 I’d 22 love to see how the manufacture these shells, both making of the shots and stacking might have required 22 a good deal of engineering 22 (and investment in machinery as well).
I don’t understand why no one makes aerodynamic pellets. As in spitzer shaped, 22 you might fit less in the shell but they would retain velocity 22 longer and go faster (bonus points if you make them red, since the red ones go faster).

The League of Women Voters of Winchester is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. We influence public policy through education and advocacy. Our Latest Projects
As of January wwe news 2014 we are planning several candidate forums wwe news or interviews for upcoming elections.We are organizing a member and friends social evening to promote our league and grow members. In the Spring we are planning a Hot Topic event to educate and inform Winchester residents about the Winchester Retiree Benefits. We are planning a Spring Book Read and are looking forward wwe news to discussions with members about it. Contributions & Programs wwe news The Winchester League has developed a Guide to Winchester Town Meeting that is available to all residents. LWVW holds an annual voter registration event at the Winchester High School and neighboring towns. Our annual wwe news Moveable Feast provides lunch for the Winchester town employees to thank them for the work they do throughout the year. In 2013 LWVW members researched and developed a Thank You Winchester Taxpayers flyer highlighting our taxpayer dollars at work. The Winchester League organizes candidate forums and interviews for local and state elections. We solicit questions from the public to be used at these events and publicize our events to reach a maximum audience. We arrange Hot Topic events on local issues for the broader community to hear opposing views on current issues. We award the LWVW Annual Civic Leadership award to honor an individual who has made a significant contribution to civic life at a local or state level. The Winchester League holds its annual meeting in June where we also celebrate our Annual Civic Leadership awardee. We communicate monthly by email with our members during the entire year except for the summer months. Participation in LWVMA and LWVUS
The Winchester League participates in LWVMA Day on the Hill, Council and Convention. In 2013 we applied and were accepted in the Membership and Leadership Development Program. We also participate in program planning initiatives and consensus studies wwe news at the State and National level. The League was awarded wwe news a LWVMA Daniel Scharfman Citizen Education grant in 2013 to hold two citizen information forums about the proposed renovation of Winchester High School. Our History
While the goal of the League of Women Voters is to educate citizens so that they are better able to shape their future, it is sometimes helpful to look backward to our past. For the Winchester League, the links to our past go back over a century.
