A match in the welterweight between the Danish UFC fighter Martin Kampmann (20-6 MMA, 11-5 UFC) and the former interim champion Carlos krepsinis Condit (28-7 MMA, 5-3 UFC) was today officially ready for the UFC on FOX Sports 2 .
The two met back in April 2009, when Condit made his debut in the UFC, after being champion in the now defunct WEC organization. Kampmann won the match via split decision and completed one eight-match winning suite of Condit.
After the loss in UFC debut, however, Condit won five straight games, including a match for an interim belt, and finally krepsinis had to face champion Georges St. Pierre in November last year. GSP defeated Condit via unanimous verdict. In his last match, met Condit wrestler Johny Hendricks, a match which he lost on unanimous verdict.
Although Kampmann met American Johny Hendricks in his last match, krepsinis which took place in November last year, but Kampmann lost through a brutal knock in the first round. It was incidentally at the same gala where Condit lost the title match against GSP. Before losing to Hendricks Kampmann had won three straight games, two of which were on clearance, and against Thiago Alves and partly against Jake Ellenberger.
